Covid-19 Guidelines

To our current & future patients:

As we continue to navigate Covid-19 in our community, we appreciate your patience and understanding. For the health of our patients and our staff, we will continue to take precautions as informed by national and worldwide guidance. We cannot guarantee 100% protection from potential aerosols or indirect contact with Covid-19, but we can continue to take steps to limit the risk and provide treatment as safely as possible. Thank you for joining us in this effort.

Please read all of the following guidelines before coming in for your appointment. This page will be updated as our policies change.

Our office will continue to be open ONLY to patients with appointments who go through our prescreening process. If you need to make an appointment, purchase a product, make a payment, etc, please call our office to make these arrangements. Drop-ins will not be permitted at this time.

If you have any questions about any of the information below, please contact us - we're happy to help.

Thank you and be well!

~ Dr. Chou & the S.O. Perio Team

Prescreening

ARRIVAL

Please remain in your car until we can either text, call, or signal to let you know when we are ready to check you in. You may wait outside our office - please note the door will be locked until one of our staff lets you in for prescreening. Please make sure you have everything you need with you before entering the building (paperwork, insurance cards, form of payment, etc).

PROTECTIVE GEAR

As a medical facility, we continue to require masks inside our office. While you will need to remove your mask for examination and treatment purposes, please bring your own mask and wear it over your mouth and nose when entering our building and remain masked until a staff member directs you otherwise. Our staff will wear protective gear at all times for your protection and ours.

Per CDC recommendations, we cannot accept any sort of face shield in place of a mask.

WHAT TO EXPECT

An assistant will let you in the front door and give instructions for check-in, which will include:

  • Answer prescreening questions

  • We will take your temperature

  • You will be asked to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water

  • An assistant will direct you to an operatory for your appointment

NON-PATIENTS

No non-patients will be permitted to enter or use facilities, except when necessary to accompany minors or assist with a patient’s mobility needs and will be subject to pre-screening as well.

WAITING ROOM

We have converted our waiting room into a screening area until further notice. We ask that you arrive on time for your appointment, or prepared to wait in your car if you arrive early -- there is no indoor waiting area available to patients or their companions at this time. If you have someone accompany you for your appointment, in addition to being screened and masked, they will need to remain in your appointment room with you.
